By defining AI, it is found that the integration of computer science and
physiology refers to Artificial Intelligence. It comprises the juncture of big
data, machine learning and computer programming.

My work experience until my
27th assisted me to realize that I found my place in tourism industry,
more specifically in the hotel sector. This sector in turn illustrates a lively
atmosphere where job is very much in the process. Working in a hotel means
automatic escape from tedious office tasks.

Currently, Artificial
Intelligence evokes great interest of the tourism industry by providing a huge
capacity to increase every sector activity, a wealth of data available for
professionals and powerful computers with the multiplication of available data.
Nowadays, there are variety of technologies, applications, individualized
concierge services and online chatbots simplifying hotel sector and exceeding
customer satisfaction.  The relevant
question here is “Do people use AI wisely?” The introduction of AI added
enormous value in service quality of hotels. The most noticeable system applied
either as “customization” changed profoundly inside and outside functions of
hotels.  Almost every sector of tourism industry
beginning from little restaurants and ending with big hotels advanced in
proposing their products. By providing customization system, AI enabled the hotel
sector to match preferences, desires and habits of each individual traveler
because of the AI skills to make the pool of data meaningful and easy to use in
a proper way. By using AI system, the possibility to convert travelers’
interest in to the purchase is very high.

hotel’s popularity. These are highly paid and rewarding jobs, any kind of robot
is not capable to write attractive text for hotel brochure or website, robots

the revenue. Another argument of robots disadvantage over humans is the absence
of emotional intelligence. Any kind of robot in spite of its smartness and
conscious is not talented to substitute human kindness of help, the sense of
mercy, pleasant conversation or cheerful smile when a guest comes in. Humans
are the owners of emotional intelligence. By being motivated and sensitive to others’
needs people create leaders, strong managers or caretakers. For instance, the
idea that robot holds assembly and motivate employees does not inspire confidence.
It is known that without professional manager who can lead employees on the way
of objectives, vision and mission, hotels would not success of its business. Additionally
to emotional feelings, there is a loyalty feature that automations never
obtain. Hospitality industry reaches high peaks in business by being loyal to
its customers and being ready for any circumstances occur so that robots
incapable to do. As a demonstration of loyalty, one of the best known hotel
“Ritz Carlton” can be proven as an example. Family guests visited the hotel
with the child whose favorite toy was giraffe “Joshi” and child used to hold it
anywhere they go. Somehow the family forgot their favorite giraffe in the
hotel. The child was upset, cried and worried about his favorite toy, which was
left. In order to help parents to soothe crying child and to show care, Ritz
Carlton took several photos of  “Joshi”
«relaxing in a bitch with sunglasses, drinking cocktail and other funny shoots.
By doing this measurable procedure hotel obtained a lot that is loyal,
presented attention and care to its visitors even though they have already left
and hotel could find a place even in a child’s heart. This evidences robots
inability to react and solve problems in befit to hotel success and reputation.

Artificial Intelligence can
push Tourism industry forward, but not up to the replacement. The first and
quite huge problem related AI is the energy that robots consume, which is not
solved. Considering that, robots are widely used at operating and manufacturing
stages requiring the highest percentage of energy; research groups and scientists
are focused on energy consumption, which is still a challenging and unsolved
task.  Reasonably, human performance is
not similarly high as robots’ one, but we people do not require energy moreover,
we do not depend on it to accomplish any type of job. While AI consumes an
enormous amount of energy that is costly for any industry besides this colossal
energy consumption, it adds massive risk to the global biggest energy challenge
humanity facing. Currently, humanity’s energy hunger has extended to
unprecedented level. It confirms the prevalence of people over automations and
in its turn, it presents the way of people staying economically stable despite
AI improvements. In order to stay technically improved, for human beings the
bite of bread with a cup of water is enough to be refreshed and continue any
kind of job. Likewise, it must be noticed that more than half of energy derives
from fossil fuels mined from the Earth’s deep. It is obvious that natural
resources are not infinite. Peoples’ technical
improvement does not influence negatively on global issues which is another
relevant feature of being and staying stable over AI.  Another critical factor is the growing
significance of social skills in the labor market. Beginning from 1980 and
continuing until 2012 there was increasing demand for social skills in the labor
market. There can be noticed 12% upsurge in works a huge need in social
interaction where tourism industry is in high demand. While at the same time, 3.3%
deduction was in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) occupations.  This trend helps to understand that with the
non-stop development of social skills, human being is able to stay economically
relevant. The reason for this is the fact that humans are born with the
possession of social skills, whereas AI robots did not possess this feature pending
present days. Even with superior technological improvements related AI, people
will not lose their relevance in the labor market as robots are powerless to
catch up social skills. The next way to overcome AI is lifetime learning. In
order to stay ahead of automations; lifetime learning, training and retraining
are an effective way. From my personal view, the creation of entrepreneurship
climate full of possibilities is worthy approach as well. Advancing
entrepreneurship means the increase of new ventures that leads to the formation
of new jobs and more vacancies for people.

The summation would be that
Artificial Intelligence is a tool to accomplish certain tasks efficiently and
effectively while hotel professionals focus on their mission. Artificial
Intelligence refers to a cognitive system only and it is important to notice
the word “Artificial” which regularly proves that AI is imitation and manmade
creation. The aim of AI is not to replace human beings because it cannot learn as
people do. Robots serve the needs of humans and tourism professionals who take
benefit from AI by using it wisely and referring to it as a tool.
