One of the greatest emperors of Ancient China was Qin Shi Huang. He was known as the first emperor of a unified China and the founder of Qin Dynasty. His actual name was Ying Zheng and some people might call him Shi HuangDi,  which means “First Emperor”.  Emperor Qin was born in 259 BC and died in 210 BC. He ascended the throne when he was only 13 years old and took full control of china when he was about 21 years old. Qin Shi Huang unified China and influenced it in many ways, such as the government, military, and the economy. He even established significant constructions, however, he was also a tyrant and many people argued that he was a harsh emperor that take away lives. Despite that, without his contributions, China wouldn’t be unified and become what China is now.During the Warring States Period in 481 B.C, China was divided into 7 states including the Qin. They constantly fought against one another. When Zheng took full control of Qin in 238 B.C, he wanted to conquer the 6 other states. However, his mother and her lover planned to overthrow his rule. So, Zheng determinedly banished his mother from the Qin capital temporarily and decapitated her lover. Now, without anyone interrupting his plan on conquering the other states, he decided to take out each state one by one and starting off by taking out the weaker states as an introductory. The first one he conquered was the Han State. Next was the Zhao and Wei. Then, he had came to the Chu state which was quite powerful. Yan and Qi collapsed eventually after Zheng had conquered Chu. After having the power to rule all of them, Zheng named himself “Qin Shi HuangDi”. In order to make the country more powerful, Emperor Qin separated the conquered states into administrative units.
